Courtney and Dayne celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary this week, where else but the same stunning island they were married on…Moreton Island at Tangalooma Island Resort. When photos from their wedding day popped up in my Timehop (if you don’t have this app you should get it!) I was immediately transported back to their day, full of love and so much fun!  They are two of the kindest, sweetest, most generous people you will ever meet and their wedding day was nothing short of spectacular…

So…a year later…here is their wedding…I can’t believe I haven’t shared it before!

P.S Never at a wedding have I witnessed such a hilarious garter toss…Dayne sure had the moves and I don’t think I will ever hear “Boombastic” without thinking of them!

I have so so many weddings to blog, but I really felt like this one couldn’t wait…

Tennille and Brett were recently married at the beautiful Montville Lake Terrace surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a super relaxed affair, the bride and groom got ready together with their gorgeous girls and family, but this wedding was anything but casual.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained by lawn games at the front of the property, while the Bride and Groom snuck off into the backyard to take in the gorgeous view for some photos. We were lucky enough to meet the resident horses during feeding time who were pretty keen to make a meal out of Tennille’s bouquet!

It was such a perfect afternoon for this lovely little family…

Congratulation Mr & Mrs Jackson! x

I caught up with these two lovely ladies yesterday morning for coffee and couldn’t believe how quickly Millie is growing. She truly is a little ray of sunshine, always greeting me with bright eyes and the cutest smile. Please slow down Millie, and don’t ever stop giving your mummy and daddy those beautiful sloppy kisses…x

A huge thanks to Renae at Wallflower Floral Design for Hayley & Millie’s beautiful flower crowns…they were gorgeous!

I found another wedding that I haven’t blogged…terrible I know! Samantha and Steven were married in Brisbane at Our Lady of Victories a little over a year ago. It was a perfect day, well apart from a minor hiccup with the bridal car that had everyone thinking maybe Sam did a runner! BUT, the bride arrived in style, a convoy of muscle cars that you could hear for miles. It was so lovely to catch up with them at a wedding recently (and watch Sam rule the dance floor). They are super sweet and even went to the trouble of meeting us out on their boat for a chat the next day.

So here is their story…

P.S WARNING…Sam has the most crazy beautiful eyes you have ever seen and Steven looked rather debonair in his traditional tux!

As you may have noticed, I have been having a few website issues but, it is back! And I am super excited to be able to share some more weddings and portraits with you. I had posted this photo session of my little loves earlier this year, unfortunately it was lost while my website was being fixed so I am posting it again and I know I am biased, but I have fallen in love with these images all over again.

I can’t exactly remember what I wrote about this photo session last time, but I do remember it was something about how much I love putting my subjects in their ‘natural environment’ and letting them be themselves while I snap away. I followed them down the edge of the headland and over the rocks watching them discover the empty beach. Willie is naturally more agile and adventurous than Haddie so he tends to go further and higher than all of us. Haddie is determined though and whatever her big brother does, without a doubt, she can do it too. He does stop and help his little sister occasionally but eventually she gets sick of him wanting to be a lone adventurer and chucks a wobbly and heads back up the headland. But whatever happens, I just follow and take photos when I see the opportunity…and these are the results!
