Venue…The Chapel Montville

The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is certainly not short of stunning wedding venues and after years of shooting weddings up on the range I am super excited to be discovering a new one…The Chapel. Perched upon the picturesque hillside of Montville, The Chapel is surrounded by rolling mountains, ocean views and one cute village which makes for one beautiful wedding venue.

And thats even before you step onto the Chapel grounds…

When visiting the Chapel, Marcus gave me the grand tour and this place honestly left me a little speechless. The timeless stone, the glass, the Swarovski crystal details, the intricate carvings, the one of a kind onyx flooring all create a stunning one of a kind location.

Another major draw point to this venue is that you can have your entire day there. There is accomodation at the Montville Studio Suites, The Chapel for the ceremony as well as photos and then Poet’s Cafe or Poet’s Reception Gallery…all within a few metres of each other. They really have you covered!

I can’t wait to be back at the Chapel next month to shoot a wedding there!

I have loved every minute of watching this family grow…congratulations Hayley, Dyl & Millie on the arrival of Theodore, he is absolute perfection. And thank you Theo for not taking after your big sister and sleeping through your whole session! x

10 years is a long time…3653 days in fact. I think I can count the number of days we have spent apart with one hand. And although 10 years is a long time, I don’t know where the time has gone?! The best days of my life have happened in those 10 years…I just don’t know how we are going to top those days, but I’m happy to spend the rest of my life with him trying. Happy 10 year anniversary to us xo

P.S when your dream photographer is on a different island, sometimes you just have to do it yourself😉

I had so much fun with this loved up couple and their fur baby at their engagement shoot. We spent the afternoon walking Sadie, climbing fences, trespassing, dodging park rangers…you know, just your average afternoon with me😉 I can not wait for their wedding in August!

Jordan Totney - What an amazing engagement shoot. Love the windy forest background. I Cant wait to see what the wedding will look like. Congratulations to Angela & Nathan and all the best to them in the future.

I had been waiting for this wedding all year, I knew it was going to be a magical day…and I knew no matter what the weather threw at us, nothing would stop these two from making it forever. But I will admit, as the storm clouds gathered over the ceremony (and seriously, take a good look at those clouds, they were CRAZY!) I felt a little panic.

Never at a wedding have I ever laughed and cried so much. Elleri and Roby’s day was filled with so much love and joy…it was contagious! Even when editing the images I had tears!

Elleri and Roby thank you so so much for choosing me to photograph your day…I hope that each time you look through your photos you remember that day as it was, filled with fun, laughter and a whole lot of love. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Rasmussen. x

And a huge thank you to Marlene and the team at Maleny Manor. You really do know how to take care of your couples, their guests and not to mention the other wedding vendors!

P.S If you were a guest at Elleri and Roby’s wedding be sure to tag any other guests in this Facebook post so they can see the party and photo booth photos at the end!
